LAS VEGAS (JAN. 5, 2026) – Georgia rock band Widespread Panic announces its highly-anticipated return to The Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas with three back-to-back performances this Spring. Fans will have the chance to experience the beloved group take the stage Friday, May 8, 2026, through Sunday, May 10, 2026. While over three decades have passed since forming their original line-up in 1986, Widespread Panic is still hungry to be the best band they can be, every single night, for their loyal fan base. During their impressive run, the band has released 14 studio albums (including Hailbound Queen and Snake Oil King in 2024) and 52 live albums, selling more than three million copies as one of the most successful touring acts in the world. The group has broken attendance records at major venues throughout the country, including a staggering 75 sold-out shows at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO. Widespread Panic has performed over a dozen shows in Las Vegas since 2011, including 10 shows at The Joint, now known as The Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. Since 2022, the group has returned to present six performances at The Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas over two three-night engagements, proving that the Las Vegas stage continues to be a draw for both fans and the seasoned rock band.
Widespread Panic was formed by original members John “JB” Bell (vocals/guitar), Dave Schools (bass), and the late Michael Houser (guitar), who lived together in a suburban house in Athens, GA, where they met as students not far from the University of Georgia campus, and were later joined by drummer Todd Nance. The line-up was solidified with the addition of percussionist Domingo “Sunny” Ortiz, keyboard player John “JoJo” Hermann, guitarist Jimmy Herring, and Duane Trucks on drums.
